Barry Steelman, AIF, is the Founder and Principal of Private Client Wealth Advisors, LLC, a registered investment advisory firm based in Denver, Colorado. PCWA, works with individuals, families and businesses conducting financial planning, portfolio management and retirement plan services.
Prior to founding Private Client Wealth Advisors in March 2014, Barry was a Vice President for Pershing Advisor Solutions LLC, a BNY Mellon company. In his role, Mr. Steelman, consulted with Family Office and Wealth Management firms as well as financial advisors in order to develop new custodial relationships and promote Pershing’s practice management resources in order to help those firms continue to grow, evolve and serve the needs of their clients. Prior to joining Pershing in May 2011, Mr. Steelman spent two years at ADP Retirement Services as a District Manager in the Major Accounts division, representing the ADP retirement plan platform to plan sponsors, registered investment advisors (RIAs), and financial advisors. Before that, Mr. Steelman spent tens years with Fidelity Investments. Much of that time was spent as a Retirement Consultant/Regional Consultant for Fidelity Investments in Greenwich, Connecticut and Colorado, where he developed business with both retail and institutional clients.
Mr. Steelman began his career in the financial services industry working as a “special agent” for Northwestern Mutual in Dallas, Texas where he helped families and individuals reduce financial risk through providing insurance planning.
Mr. Steelman obtained his Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation from Fiduciary360 (fi360) which signifies knowledge of fiduciary responsibility and the ability to implement policies and procedures that meet a defined standard of care.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Southern Methodist University and his Certificate in Financial Planning from Florida State University.
Barry is a volunteer member of the Denver Financial Planning Association and a Finance Committee member of his church, Washington Park United Methodist. He is a five time marathon finisher and enjoys spending his time outside of work with his wife and two sons.
